How to Order Food in English
كيف تطلب الطعام بالإنجليزية
Ordering food in English is one of the first things you will do when you travel.
طلب الطعام بالإنجليزية هو من أول الأشياء التي ستفعلها عندما تسافر.
It does not need to be hard. Just learn a few key phrases, and you will be fine.
لا يحتاج الأمر أن يكون صعبًا. فقط تعلّم بعض العبارات الأساسية، وستكون بخير.

At a Restaurant
في المطعم
When you enter a restaurant, someone will usually greet you and show you a table.
عندما تدخل المطعم، عادةً يرحّب بك شخص ما ويُريك طاولة.
You want a table
تريد طاولة
A table for two, please.
طاولة لشخصين، من فضلك.
Show tip
Change the number: 'for one', 'for three', 'for four'.
غيّر العدد: 'لشخص واحد'، 'لثلاثة'، 'لأربعة'.
You want to see the menu
تريد رؤية قائمة الطعام
Can I see the menu, please?
هل يمكنني رؤية قائمة الطعام، من فضلك؟
You are ready to order
أنت مستعد للطلب
I would like the chicken, please.
أريد الدجاج، من فضلك.
Show tip
'I would like' is more polite than 'I want'. Always use it in restaurants.
عبارة 'I would like' أكثر أدبًا من 'I want'. استخدمها دائمًا في المطاعم.
Ordering Drinks
طلب المشروبات

Just water, please.

Can I have a cup of tea with milk?

In Britain, most people drink tea with milk. Just say 'with milk' or 'without milk'.
في بريطانيا، معظم الناس يشربون الشاي مع حليب. فقط قل 'مع حليب' أو 'بدون حليب'.
Fast Food
الوجبات السريعة
Fast food is quick and easy. You order at the counter and pay straight away.
الوجبات السريعة سهلة وسريعة. تطلب عند الكاونتر وتدفع مباشرة.
You order at a fast food restaurant
تطلب في مطعم وجبات سريعة
I will have a burger and chips, please.
سآخذ برغر وبطاطا مقلية، من فضلك.

In the UK they say 'chips'. In the US they say 'fries'.

They ask about your drink size
يسألونك عن حجم المشروب
Medium, please.

Asking About the Menu
السؤال عن قائمة الطعام
Sometimes you do not understand every word on the menu. That is completely normal. You can learn more food words when you travel through the airport and eat at different places.
أحيانًا لا تفهم كل كلمة في القائمة. هذا طبيعي تمامًا.
You want to know what is in a dish
تريد معرفة مكونات طبق
What is in this dish?
ماذا يوجد في هذا الطبق؟
You want to know if the food is spicy
تريد معرفة إذا كان الطعام حارًا
Is this spicy?
هل هذا حار؟
Show tip
If you do not like spicy food, say: 'Not spicy, please.'
إذا لم تكن تحب الطعام الحار، قل: 'بدون حار، من فضلك.'
You have a food allergy
لديك حساسية من طعام معين
Does this have nuts? I have an allergy.
هل يحتوي هذا على مكسّرات؟ لديّ حساسية.

Always tell the waiter about allergies. It is very important.

Paying the Bill
دفع الفاتورة
