العربية لغة دقيقة جدًا في كلمات العائلة — عندك عمّ وخال وعمّة وخالة وابن عمّ وابن خال. الإنجليزية أبسط بكثير: كلمة واحدة 'uncle' لكل من العمّ والخال، وكلمة واحدة 'aunt' لكل من العمّة والخالة، وكلمة واحدة 'cousin' لكل أبناء العم والخال. عقلك العربي سيبحث عن كلمات مختلفة — لكن الإنجليزية لا تفرّق.
Arabic is very precise with family words — you have عمّ, خال, عمّة, خالة, ابن عمّ, ابن خال. English is much simpler: one word 'uncle' for both, one word 'aunt' for both, one word 'cousin' for all. Your Arabic brain will look for different words — but English doesn't distinguish.

في العربية عندك كلمة مختلفة لكل قريب: عمّ وخال وعمّة وخالة. في الإنجليزية كلمة واحدة 'uncle' تشمل الاثنين، وكلمة واحدة 'aunt' تشمل الاثنتين. لا تبحث عن كلمة ثانية — الإنجليزية لا تفرّق.
In Arabic you have a different word for each relative: عمّ and خال, عمّة and خالة. In English one word 'uncle' covers both, and one word 'aunt' covers both. Don't look for a second word — English doesn't distinguish.

Child vs Children
Child = طفل واحد (مفرد). Children= أكثر من واحد (جمع). هذا جمع شاذ — لا يمكنك قول "childs".
Child = one child (singular). Children= more than one (plural). This is an irregular plural — you cannot say "childs".
في العربية، كلمات العائلة تتغيّر حسب جنس المتحدّث — 'أخي' و 'أختي'. في الإنجليزية الكلمات لا تتغيّر: 'my brother' و 'my sister' ثابتة دائمًا مهما كان جنسك.
In Arabic, family words change based on the speaker's gender. In English, the words never change: 'my brother' and 'my sister' stay the same regardless of your gender.

In Arabic, you have different words for your father's brother and mother's brother. In English, both are just uncle. The same applies to aunt — one word for both. And cousin covers all.

Age structure in English
في الإنجليزية نقول "is 10 years old" — نستخدم الفعل "is" وليس "has". لا تقل "My sister has 10 years".
In English we say "is 10 years old" — we use the verb "is", not "has". Do not say "My sister has 10 years".
