At the airport

في المطار

The airport is the first place you need English. You will practise phrases like “Where is gate twelve?”, “Can I see your boarding pass?”, and “How many bags are you checking in?”. You will also learn how to answer simple questions at passport control, such as “What is the purpose of your visit?” and “How long are you staying?”.

المطار هو أول مكان تحتاج فيه الإنجليزية. ستتدرب على عبارات مثل “أين البوابة رقم اثنا عشر؟” و“هل يمكنني رؤية بطاقة الصعود؟” و“كم حقيبة تسجّل؟”. ستتعلم أيضًا كيف تجيب على أسئلة بسيطة عند مراقبة الجوازات.

Hotels, restaurants, and getting around

الفنادق والمطاعم والتنقل

After you arrive, you need to check in, eat, and move around. You will learn sentences for hotels (“I have a reservation under the name…”), restaurants (“Could I have the chicken, please?”, “Does this contain nuts?”), and transport (“A single to Manchester, please”, “Excuse me, how do I get to the museum?”). These phrases are short, easy to remember, and based on real audio so you know exactly how they sound.

Emergencies and tips for nervous travellers

Nobody wants an emergency on holiday, but it helps to be prepared. You will learn how to ask for help, report a lost item, and describe symptoms. If you feel nervous about using English abroad, remember: most people are patient and happy to help, short sentences work best, and practising before you go makes all the difference.

لا أحد يريد حالة طوارئ في الإجازة لكن الاستعداد يساعد. ستتعلم كيف تطلب المساعدة وتبلغ عن شيء مفقود وتصف الأعراض. إذا شعرت بالقلق من استخدام الإنجليزية في الخارج، تذكر: معظم الناس صبورون وسعداء بالمساعدة، الجمل القصيرة تعمل بشكل أفضل، والتدرب قبل السفر يصنع الفارق.
