IELTS Reading Tips for Beginners
نصائح القراءة في آيلتس للمبتدئين
The IELTS reading test is 60 minutes long. You read three long texts and answer 40 questions.
اختبار القراءة في آيلتس مدته ٦٠ دقيقة. تقرأ ثلاثة نصوص طويلة وتجيب على ٤٠ سؤالًا.
Many students run out of time. These tips will help you read faster and answer more accurately.
كثير من الطلاب ينفد وقتهم. هذه النصائح ستساعدك على القراءة أسرع والإجابة بدقّة أكبر.
Do Not Read Every Word
لا تقرأ كل كلمة
This is the most important tip. You do not have time to read every word carefully. Instead, use two skills: skimming and scanning.
هذه أهم نصيحة. ليس لديك وقت لقراءة كل كلمة بعناية. بدلًا من ذلك، استخدم مهارتين: القراءة السريعة والمسح.
Skimming
القراءة السريعة
Read quickly to get the main idea. Look at the title, headings, first sentence of each paragraph.
اقرأ بسرعة لتحصل على الفكرة الرئيسية. انظر إلى العنوان والعناوين الفرعية والجملة الأولى من كل فقرة.
Scanning
المسح
Look for a specific word or number. Move your eyes quickly across the text until you find it.
ابحث عن كلمة أو رقم محدّد. حرّك عينيك بسرعة عبر النص حتى تجده.
Read the Questions First
اقرأ الأسئلة أولًا
Before you read the text, look at the questions. This tells you what to look for.
قبل أن تقرأ النص، انظر إلى الأسئلة. هذا يخبرك بما تبحث عنه.
Underline the key words in each question. Then scan the text for those words or similar words.
ضع خطًا تحت الكلمات المهمة في كل سؤال. ثم امسح النص بحثًا عن تلك الكلمات أو كلمات مشابهة.
The answers are always in the text. You do not need to use your own knowledge.
الإجابات دائمًا في النص. لا تحتاج أن تستخدم معرفتك الخاصة.
Manage Your Time
أدِر وقتك
You have 60 minutes for three texts. That is about 20 minutes per text. Do not spend too long on one question.
لديك ٦٠ دقيقة لثلاثة نصوص. أي حوالي ٢٠ دقيقة لكل نص. لا تقضِ وقتًا طويلًا على سؤال واحد.
If you cannot find an answer, move on and come back later. It is better to answer all questions than to get stuck on one.
إذا لم تستطع إيجاد إجابة، انتقل وعُد لاحقًا. من الأفضل أن تجيب على جميع الأسئلة بدلًا من أن تتعثّر في سؤال واحد.
Build Your Vocabulary

The more words you know, the faster you can read. Learn five new words every day. Write them in a notebook with the Arabic meaning. Our tips to learn English faster has more vocabulary-building ideas.
كلما عرفت كلمات أكثر، قرأت أسرع. تعلّم خمس كلمات جديدة كل يوم. اكتبها في دفتر مع المعنى بالعربية.

Common Question Types
أنواع الأسئلة الشائعة
True / False / Not Given. Does the text agree with the statement? Check carefully — "Not Given" means the text does not talk about it.
صحيح / خطأ / غير مذكور. هل النص يوافق العبارة؟ تحقّق بعناية — "غير مذكور" يعني أنّ النص لا يتحدّث عنها.
Matching headings. Choose the best heading for each paragraph. Read the first and last sentence of each paragraph.
مطابقة العناوين. اختر أفضل عنوان لكل فقرة. اقرأ الجملة الأولى والأخيرة من كل فقرة.
Fill in the blank. Complete a sentence with words from the text. The instructions tell you how many words to use.
ملء الفراغ. أكمل جملة بكلمات من النص. التعليمات تخبرك بعدد الكلمات المطلوبة.
Read a Little Every Day
اقرأ قليلًا كل يوم
